Performance
Burning under the hood of both the 2006 Acura 3.2 CL Coupe
and 3.2 CL Type-S Coupe is a highly impressive 3.2-litre, 24-valve, all-aluminum
six-cylinder engine with variable valve timing and lift electric control
system. The happy result is a blistering 225 horsepower and 216 lb-ft
of torque in the base CL model. Meanwhile, the Type-S produces 260 horsepower
due to its high volume dual-stage induction system, low-restriction dual-outlet
exhaust, larger diameter throttle body, increased compression ratio, and
special intake valves, camshafts, and cylinder heads.
 Each
of the Acura 3.2 CL Coupe models offers a five-speed automatic transmission
with sequential sportshift, which allows the driver to select gears manually
or through a fully automatic transmission. The base CL has a feul economy
rating of 19/29 mpg (city/hwy).
Safety and Security
In addition to a rigid body, the Acura 3.2 CL Coupe is strengthened
with side impact door beams, and is also designed with front and rear
crumple zones. Inside, passengers are protected with dual stge front air
bags, three-point seatbelts, had restraints, and -in the rear seating
