2006 Lincoln Continental
Classic line, sophisticated style, and an absolute dedication to luxury
are the keys to the new 2006 Lincoln Continental Sedan. In addition to
its refined qualities, it remains true to the Lincoln tradition of outstanding
performance coupled with world-class safety features.
Available Models
This year, only one stellar Lincoln Continental has been made
available on the market, although it lists a new Limited Edition package
for 2006.
Interior Features
The Lincoln Continental Sedan surrounds its fortunate passengers
in a sea of comforts and conveniences, including ample space for six adults,
opulent leather upholstery, and power-adjustable driver and passenger
seats with power lumbar and memory feature. A seating configuration of
five passengers is also available as an option.
The exciting list of standard features continues with electronic automatic
temperature control with air filtration system, and delayed accessory
power which enables you to operate the power windows and power moonroof
up 10 minutes after the vehicle's ignition has been turned off.
Options include a universal garage door opener, and satellite navigation
and information services (you must order an Alpine audio system to receive
this option). The standard AM/FM stereo with CD player has a crisp and
powerful sound.
Exterior Features
A classic design is highlighted by distinctive tail lights,
and sixteen-inch aluminum wheels with either brushed aluminum or polished
finish. Six-spoke sixteen-inch chrome wheels are offered as an option.
The front grille is vintage Lincoln, and the front and rear fascia molding
have bright chrome inserts.
A new color has been added for 2006: Aspen Green Clearcoat Metallic.
Performance
Exceptional performance makes the front-wheel drive Lincoln
Continental Sedan a treasure to drive. It features a 4.6-litre, DOHC,
32-valve, V8 engine that churns out 275 horsepower and 275 lbs-ft of torque.
Barely a vibration or noise can be detected from within the quiet cabin,
and the ride is beautifully smooth. The peaceful ride can be attributed
to the MacPherson strut independent front suspension.
Each vehicle is equipped with electronic all-speed traction control,
self-leveling rear air springs, and four-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive.
Safety and Security
The Lincoln Continental Sedan is built with outstanding safety
features that include anti-lock brakes, engine immobilizer, front and
rear crumple zones, and side impact door beams. Inside, passengers are
protected with three-point seatbelts, a driver side air bag, passenger
side air bag, child safety locks and child seat tethers and anchors. The
SeduriTires system allows you to travel up to 50 miles with a flat.
