2007 Chevy Silverado 3500
The biggest and baddest of the bunch, the 2007 Chevy Silverado 3500 is
a monster of a truck. If you've ever seen Jurassic Park, you surely remember
the earth-shaking stomp of the Tyrannosaurus Rex as it bears down on its
prey. Step inside the 2007 Chevy Silverado 3500 and you'll get a taste
of what the T-Rex must have felt. All analogies aside, this large pickup
is given a super-strong construction and a wealth of power to handle years
and years of work, and it goes about its business without even a whisper
of complaint.
Available Models
The one-ton 2007 Chevy Silverado 3500 is available in regular cab, extended
cab and crew cab sizes, each with an eight-foot bed. In addition, a chassis
cab is also available on the regular, extended and crew cab sizes. Base
LS and uplevel LT models are available across all versions.
Interior Features
The regular cab seats two/three passengers (two-door), while the four-door
extended (back half-doors) and crew cabs (full back doors) seat up to
six. LS models are equipped with a number of standard interior features,
including air conditioning with dual-zone manual climate control, power
steering, tilt steering wheel and vinyl upholstery. Uplevel LT models
(not offered with the regular cab) add the OnStar system, leather upholstery
and heated front buckets seats.
OnStar is a communications and assistance service designed to provide
drivers, at any time, with access to live, personalized service and emergency
assistance at the touch of a button. As just part of the system, customers
can use OnStar for hands-free personal calling or can have e-mail read
to them.
Exterior Features
The 2007 Chevy Silverado 3500 has an added traction control feature with
standard dual rear wheels. With these 'dualies' in place, the 3500 simply
looks ready to go.
Performance
There are three engines available that fit inside these beasts, each varying
in power and performance ability. The base engine is a Vortec 6.0-liter
V8 with 300 horsepower at 4400 rpm and 360 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm.
2WD and 4WD configurations are available, while a handling and trailering

though 4-and 5-speed automatic and 6-speed manual are all optional.
The additional engines are a Vortec 8.1-liter V8 that produces 340 horsepower
at 4200 rpm and 455 lb-ft. of torque at 3200 rpm and a Duramax 6.6-liter
