of producing 246 lb-ft of torque at 3200 rpm and 255 hp at 6000, the I35
has power throughout the engine's range. This V6 is coupled with a 4-speed
automatic transmission and together they achieve mileage ratings that
are pretty respectable for the power involved, at 20/26mpg (city/hwy).
Traction control is standard while a vehicle skid control system, Vehicle
Dynamic Control (VDC) comes optionally with the Sport Package.
Safety and Security
4-wheel vented disc brakes with ABS, Brake Assist and Electronic Brake
force Distribution all come as standard equipment on the I35 to make up
the active safety technology. Passive safety features include dual front
and front side airbags, advanced belt systems and the child-seat restraint
LATCH system.
