2007 Mini Cooper

The 2007 Mini Cooper is a car aimed at the rising demographic looking for character, performance, interior luxury and above all, style. A rebirth of an old favourite, the Mini Cooper has been resurrected for years for its unique styling, cuteness combined with responsive go-cart like handling. This is a car for drivers but it has also been re-introduced as a luxury vehicle with surprising leg room, head room and interior choice.

Available Models
The 2007 Mini Cooper has a high single trim level and one engine choice. However, significant versatility is available through customer choices and optional packages.

Interior Features
The 2007 Mini Cooper sets itself apart inside and out. The inside can be equipped with various upholstery choices including a couple of grades of leather packages but it comes standard with a vinyl interior. It also comes with air conditioning, height adjustable front bucket seats and an AM/FM/CD player. Power features abound also, with power windows, door locks, mirrors and remote keyless entry.

A Premium Luxury package is available that includes a power sunroof and automatic climate control. Many luxury amenities like heated seats are also available as part of a Cold Weather package. Exterior Features
The outside of the 2007 Mini Cooper is its most distinctive and important selling feature. Form and function enhancements are available as both standards and optional add-ons. Sculpted lights and hood accompany the wide bulldog stance, and by other standard offerings like speed sensitive wipers, and the "open wide" doors and tailgate. Then there are assorted optional extras like rain sensitive wipers, auto-levelling xenon headlights and heated power side mirrors.

Performance
Offering a lot more power than the original 34hp, the new engine on the Mini Cooper is a 4-cyl dohc 1.6-liter with 115 hp at 6000 rpm and 110 lb-ft of torque at 4500. Standard equipment includes a 5-speed manual transmission but it is possible to upgrade to a Continuously Variable Timing (CVT) equipped automatic transmission. With CVT an optimum use of available power means that it is right there when you need it, regardless of your speed.

This engine gets a solid 25/37mpg (city/hwy) allowing excellent long distance fuel economy.

Safety and Security
The 2007 Mini Cooper has a four-star safety rating thanks to generous deployment of extensive and sophisticated safety technology. For example, a Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) is in place but so is a comprehensive airbag and belt restraint system. Dual front airbags, front side airbags and side head-protection airbags are included as are preventative or active safety technologies like 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, a tire-pressure monitor and daytime running lights.
