2007 Toyota Sequoia

The 2007 Toyota Sequoia is part of the one-two punch in the full-size SUV segment for Toyota. Coupled with the Land Cruiser, the Sequoia is designed with luxury in mind for adventurous families who want sedan capability but need a large truck to carry them and the gear around. The eight-passenger Sequoia, offering more interior room and more rear cargo capacity than either the Chevrolet Tahoe or the Ford Expedition, is one of the largest SUVs on the market.

Changes for 2007 include a newly available factory-installed DVD rear seat entertainment system, the ideal accessory for traveling families. A high-resolution overhead screen flips down from the headliner and plays from a DVD player in the centre console. Rear seat audio, a feature also available as a separate option, enables the rear passengers to watch without disturbing those up front.

Available Models
The 2007 Toyota Sequoia has a couple of trim levels. The first, the SR5, has a large number of standard amenities but the Limited edition ladles on even more.

Interior Features
The 2007 Toyota Sequoia SR5 sets a high standard with front air conditioning with automatic climate control, cruise control, front captain chairs and an AM/FM/CD player. These are usually not standard features at the base level. In addition a large assortment of added amenities are included.

The Limited is fitted out like the luxury vehicle that it is. This is like an 8 passenger limousine with front and rear automatic climate controls, rear air conditioning, leather upholstery, heated front seats, 8-way power driver seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with radio controls, heated mirrors w/power fold-in, JBL sound system, automatic headlights and remote keyless entry.

Exterior Features
On the outside, the 2007 Toyota Sequoia, not surprisingly, is as elegant as it can be without sacrificing its rugged durability and off-road capability. This is a vehicle truly at home in a variety of locales whether it be a high society event or in a field at a campsite.

Performance
Naturally for all this bulk, a large amount of power is required. In fact, the Sequoia has a powerful 4.7-liter i-Force V8 engine that it shares with the 4Runner's larger V8 version. This V8 produces 235 horsepower at 4,800 RPM and 320 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,400 RPM. At 14/18 mpg fusing a 4-speed automatic transmission, this mileage is reasonable for the size of the vehicle.

Safety and Security
You have taken care of many safety concerns just by riding in this vehicle. However, in the event that you do have an incident, dual front airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, brake assist and an antiskid system will help you keep control and protect you in a collision.

2007 Toyota Sequoia Highlights

For 2007, the Sequoia introduces a newly available factory-installed DVD rear seat entertainment system, the ideal accessory for traveling families. The option includes a high-resolution overhead screen that flips down from the headliner, a DVD player in the center console and rear seat audio - a feature that is also available as a separate option.
Mechanical refinements to the 2007 Sequoia include the newly standard Brake Assist safety feature and an available hydraulic rear ride height control suspension. Brake Assist is designed to determine if the driver is attempting emergency braking and, if the driver has not stepped hard enough on the brake pedal to engage the ABS, the system supplements the applied braking power until pedal pressure is released. Larger 17-inch wheels and 265/65R17 tires are now standard-equipped on the Limited Sequoia, and available on the SR5 grade. A new seven-pin towing connector is also available for added functionality including the ability to accommodate electric trailer braking systems.
The multi-function front center console integrates a large storage box with a double-door and memo pad clip. Dual front-and-rear cup holders can adapt to containers of nearly any size. To power the variety of devices that passengers are likely to bring on board, Sequoia provides four 12-volt power outlets - two in the front, one for the second row and one behind the third row on the left side.
Sequoia is available with either two-wheel drive or multi-mode four-wheel drive systems. The multi-mode 4WD system uses a lockable center differential and allows the driver to shift from 2H to 4H with a dash-mounted switch. The locking center differential can help get the vehicle through obstructions such as sand, mud or deep snow. With 10.6-inches of ground clearance, the Sequoia can handle off-highway obstacles that would stop some competitors in their tracks.
