do more than just go from Point A to Point B.

America by storm. It offers good gas mileage and guarantees durability-two
other features that will no doubt contribute to its appeal.
Available Models
The 2008 Chevrolet Aveo will be available as a sedan or sporty five-door
in base or LS trims.
Interior Features
The key to the 2008 Chevrolet Aveo is its flexibility. It seats five passengers
comfortably, and has a high roof and the roomiest interior among its closest
competitors. The rear seat of the four-door sedan folds flat to provide
more cargo room, while the rear seat of the five-door hatchback folds
flat and flips forward, yielding 42 cubic feet of cargo area.
The seat cushions and backs of the new Chevrolet Aveo are constructed
of high-density foam to ensure solid comfort and support. Seats on the
base model feature standard fabric, while LS models come with deluxe cloth.
Standard features include an AM/FM stereo, tinted glass, a highly functional
floor console with storage compartment, a rear window defogger, carpeting
and more.
LS models have an AM/FM stereo with CD player and MP3 playback, air conditioning,
power door locks windows and other features for more comfort. A sliding
electric sunroof and a six-speaker premium sound system are available
on LS models.
Exterior Features
The 2008 Chevrolet Aveo was created in Giorgetto Giugiaro's Italdesign
studios in Turin, Italy. It has clean lines and short front and rear overhangs,
distinctive aerodynamic halogen headlamps with facetted lenses, amber
side turn signal lamps and jewel-like taillamps for a unique appearance.
Performance
Not a roaster, the front-wheel drive Aveo rests its mettle on solid craftsmanship.
It is equipped 1.6-liter, inline 4-cylinder engine with 105 horsepower
at 5800 rpm and 107 lb-ft of torque at 3600 rpm.
4-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmissions are available. Automatics
have a fuel rating of 26/35 mpg (city/highway), while manuals get 28/34
mpg (city/highway).
Chevrolet tested the Aveo's suspension in both Europe and the U.S. It
is tuned to provide a controlled ride and responsive handling.
Safety and Security
The 2008 Aveo's nimbleness is as big a safety feature as any. It also
has an impact-absorbing frame, standard dual front air bags and an available
anti-lock braking system.
